Outstations will be notified from our Central Control if there is a possible delay.
All spares, including Main Wheels and Brake Units, can be used on this transport between outstations, as and when required, according to the timetable, excluding engines and full sets of aircraft seats. Dedicated vehicles will be provided on request for these items due to size and weight restrictions.
Please use EMTs TED System (online booking system) or Consignment Books provided when despatching goods. Clearly write the destination on the items. The driver must sign acceptance on the consignment sheet.
Tracking Labels to be completed with place of collection and delivery (ie. Marshall Cambridge to Marconi Basildon) and also Tail Number or Order Number which relaters to the relevant consignment note(s).
Vehicles used on these runs are LWB Sprinters, 7½ ton or 18 ton gross lorries curtain sided with tail lifts.
Please note that any items collected for the Repair Agencies from your outstations in a morning will be delivered on the same day (ie. within a 24 hour period on our timetable cycle). Likewise any items collected from the Repair Agencies will be delivered to your outstations the same night.
EMT will then ensure that the correct vehicle is provided where dimensions have been provided.
There is a Re-Direction system in place, which can be arranged:
If a parcel, in transit, has to be relocated or rerouted.
If, EMT has delivered/collected from a repair agency, but you require a further collection, and central control see their way clear to send the vehicle back, or divert another vehicle in the area to collect an extra item.
All the above provisions are subject to agreed surcharges.
